Does anyone have tips for painting a photo with acrylics? ?
I have started painting with acrylics just for fun, and I want to be able to paint landscapes, or pictures of photos of my pets/people. However, I can never sketch anything that looks life-like. Any tips on painting a photo? Thanks!
The easiest way is to draw a grid on your photo and transfer the grid to your canvas. Make the drawing on your canvas surface using the grid on your photo. It is ok to lightly sketch on your canvas with pencil or charcoal(you can erase the lines after the paint dries. If you need more info on grid drawing, web search the topic for step by step examples.
