1 where can I learn about digital photography in bay area?
Well that would be dependent on your age. You have the public library, night schools, community colleges, photo groups and you have one of the most powerful of all tools right at your finger tips, the computer and the Internet. Most digital camera manufactures as well as software vendors have mini courses on photography at there sites. I have pasted a couple of them below as well as a software site that has a killer tutorial for photo line 32. You can download there software and tutorial (For Free) and it will walk you through on things like CLUT and working with the curves as well as changing the colour of the hull of a boat, I recommend it. Hi there, I'm looking to purchase my very first digital SLR camera and start learning about photography. I have 2 Canon elf point and shoots, but no real experience with SLR's. I have spent countless hours reading and researching online and I am at a loss as to what SLR would best suit my needs. I'm looking for the best camera within my budget (up to 700) that will allow me to take professional looking and artistic photos of my family. I can't take a class but have purchased photography books, now to pick out my camera! Any help, advice, recommendations are GREATLY appreciated! Thanks and have a great day! A great camera that is very much worth the money is the Canon Rebel XS. It is simple to use, and although there are more complicated controls for people who choose to use them, they are not necessary whatsoever. It takes beautiful, sharp images, and is amazing for portraits. It is easy to master and is not overwhelming. You can find it online for prices as low as $400.
1 How long to lose 21 pounds? 2nd time posting please answer!(please read the details! :D)?
ok well so far ive lost 14 lbs! :D and ive been wanting this digital SLR camera for a while, and my dadand mom kept saying no and that i dont need it. but im really into photography and i enjoy learning about cameras, and i showed him the camera online the other day, and he said its nice. and i told him that if i lose 50 lbs will he get me the camera? and he said yeah, and wrote down the name of the camera. and then he said not 50, 45. and the other day he called me while he was at work and i told him i had lost 2 more lbs, and he said good job and told me that when i lose 35 not 45 he'll get it for me!
so far im doing great, eating right and treadmill everyday.
i just have a question: how long will it take to lose 21 pounds??

usually people say around 10lbs a month, so i would say 2 more months. go with that and take your time with the diet. don't try anything dramatic to lose the weight faster, the faster you try to loose the weight, the sooner you will gain it back. get exited, the camera is only a few weeks away from you. :]

Learn Digital Photography: Fast Track Your Photography
Learning digital photography in our instant society is only possible by applying the basic principles of good photography. Digital is another tool and there is no real fast way of doing this. BUT... If you are prepared to follow these six quick photography principles you're on the road to learning digital photography fast. And I really mean fast. So here goes.
1. Choose your subject carefully.
This is the centrepiece of your photo. Make sure you identify a suitable subject and focus on this. Not negotiable. If subject is not clearly identifiable your photo will be below average.
2. Place you subject intelligently.
Divide your image into thirds vertically and horizontally. Imagine 2 lines across and 2 lines down. Where these lines intersect place your subject on one of these points. If you have an horizon in the image, line it up with one of the 2 horizontal lines.
3. Get closer to your subject.
Most times the subject is what you want to remember about the scene you are recording. So get as much of it in your photo. This is especially so with family photos. Have smaller groups of people shot closer to the camera.
4. Exclude clutter from around your subject.
Make sure that there are no trees or telephone poles sticking out the top of you subject's head. Unless you particularly want to remember the garbage can, bicycle, microwave or signboard, leave them out of the scene. Look for anything that you don't want to see in 20 years when viewing the photos and exclude it.
5. Look at your subject from a different angle.
Shoot from up higher (above the subject) or lower (looking up at the subject). Find a different angle so that the image is unique a gives you a different more interesting aspect.
6. Change your viewpoint.
Most people stand in front of the subject and just shoot away. Move around looking through your viewfinder and find a different position that gives a more interesting shot. Experimenting is the key.
BONUS TIP
Finally here's a bonus tip. Choose a subject you want to photograph and shoot it in 50 different ways. Shoot from high, low, the left, the right, directly above. Get in really close, turn you camera at an angle, hold the camera above your head. Change your viewpoint, walk away from the subject, lie on your back or lie on your stomach. It may sound a lot but when you try it you'll see it's possible. When you've finished, browse through all the images and you will be amazed at your ability. You will have found a new and different angle that will amaze your friends and family. Don't worry about feeling stupid if you want to get that great shot. Follow these 6 basic photographic principles and your photos will improve dramatically and very fast. Within hours you friends will be complimenting you on your great images.
