Does anyone know of a good FREE online digital photography course?

Depends what you are after. Most simple things are on Youtube. Search for 'Photoshop' and there are heaps of tutorials. Limewire has heaps too, search 'photoshop tutorials' The other option is to visit Lynda.com. Only visit Limewire if you have good internet security, it seems to have many infected files these days.

i am looking for a good free online course in photography that covers all the rules ...any ideas please/?

particularly things like light metering, focal points and all this stuff. I assume its applicable to both Digital and film cameras. Also if it is in non-technical (or not too technical language it would be good.Thanks.

I would tell you to make relationships with many photograpers. Like a great craft, it is best between practitioners who share stories and show each other techniques.
