Digital Photography lessons?

anyone knows a site to have lessons on digital photography (or just photography, prefered both :) )
or when to download a free pdf with tutorials on taking pics.
thnx

You should try the Yahoo user groups. There are many out there. Some specialize in the cameras (I belong to an Olympus user group) if your looking more for information on taking pictures, and other specialize in imaging software (I also belong to a Photoshop group) that specialize in digital image developing and printing.

Once you find a group that suits you there are forums to ask questions and links in each group that can direct you to tutorial sites.

Digital Photography Tutorials - Sharing Your Digital Photos on Photobucket

Photobucket is a popular website where you can store and share your photos and videos. A free account gives you up to 500 MB of storage space for images and video clips, with a maximum bandwidth of 10 GB a month.

If you need more storage, a Pro Account gives you 25 GB of space for $24.95 a year.

Photobucket also makes it very easy to share or embed your photos on other sites, such as your MySpace or Facebook accounts, Blogger blog or any other website. Photobucket generates a link code for each photo.

It's easy to upload photos into Photobucket.

1. Log into your Photobucket account, or, of you haven't done so yet, register for an account.

2. Hover your cursor over the "My Albums" tab then click on "My Albums & Upload."

3. On the left-most column, you'll find an Albums box. Use this box to create a new album for the photo you'd like to upload. Or, choose an existing album where you'd like the photo to be uploaded.

4. Click the "Upload images & videos" button

5. Select the photo you want to upload. You can upload either from your computer, another website, mobile phone or email.

6. Wait for the photo to upload. Afterwards, enter the title, description and tags for your picture. In the same screen, you can share the photo on MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, Blogger, email and other sites.

7. Finally, click either "Return to album" or "Add tags to all albums."

As you can see, it's pretty easy. Photobucket even lets you share your pictures through printed products, slideshows, scrapbooks and online galleries.

Before you do, however, make sure your digital photos are worthy of sharing. If you are more curious to learn more about Digital Photography I will strongly recommend you to checkout the copy of "Shoot Digital Pics Like the Pros." It's free.

Also you can get various Digital Photography Tutorials from my site.

Selling your Freelance Digital Photography to Stock Photo Sites

So you want to make a living from your freelance digital photography. A way to earn extra income that has been showing a lot of promise is selling your freelance photos to stock photography sites like Fotolia. Say you love shooting pictures with your digital camera but never considered making a good amount of money from it. You couldn't describe this as a job quiting opportunity just yet, but if you dedicate enough time who knows. Doesn't matter what age you are just as long as you have some extra time to shoot and upload photos. This is just a way to distribute your freelance photography onto a stock photo site that will sell the pictures for you. If someone buys your freelance photos you will get paid, it is a pretty simple concept. Although the concept is simple enough there is a few methods that need to be learned in order to ensure successful picture sales.

Taking good digital pictures is obviously an aspect of getting good conversions. You don't have to use all the most expensive equipment or know the trade secrets of taking great digital photos. Buyers of stock photography need pictures of almost anything, and that's what you can give them pictures of anything and everything. The colors in your digital photos have to be neat, balanced and not too dull. You cannot have any signatures, logos or marks on the pictures to define there ownership. Your photos have to be in focus and not have any noise. Lastly it should not look like you were a tourist and you had a more creative outlook.

To help your photos sell you need to photograph things that are useful to buyers. You really have to think like a buyer, because the people who are buying stock photography are marketers, advertisers, website makers, magazines, and graphic designers (to name a few). You need to attract your buyers with keywords or proper picture categorizing. Learning to pick the popular, low competitive keywords will improve your sales dramatically. And will bring a large amount of traffic to your freelance work.

Here are the things you need (or) need to do to get started

-Have an Internet Connection

-Buy a Digital Camera

-Learn about proper keywords, conversion, uploading, stock photography companies (read an Ebook)

-Sign up with Stock photo companies

-Take hundreds of digital photos

-Upload you pictures, make conversions/sales and make a profit

-Repeat what you are doing correctly in order to start make double, triple and yeah you got it
