whats the best macbook & digital photography camera?

i need a new laptop, ive had mine for over 5 years and its time to get a new one

i would like either the macbook pro 17in. or macbook air- which is better?
& whats a good digital photography camera between $200-$300
i prefer nikon or cannon, i think they work best

any suggestions?

I can't help you out much with the camera, but I can give you some input on the computer.
I'd say definitely buy a macbook pro. Obviously, macs are the nicest laptops when it comes to designing and photography. The air is gonna be a huge pain in the butt, because everything is external. Sure it's light, but it's super expensive for the quality you're going to get. For example, it does NOT come with a CD/DVD drive, you have to buy that separately. Everything is plugged into a USB port outside of the computer. I believe the air only has one USB port, also, which is a HUGE downside, considering all the stuff you have to plug into it.
Another downside (I'm not sure if this is completely true) but the only type of internet you can get with the air is WiFi, so most likely, you will eventually have to plug in a wireless connector, or a modem, taking up your 1 USB port already. Another downside to the air is that it has low battery life. It DOES run cooler than the other macbooks, so you can keep it on your lap for a while without it heating up really bad. In my opinion, I would definitely choose the pro, because it seems like less of a hassle. Lets just put it in this perspective:
say you want to plug in a mouse, a printer, your camera, an external CD/DVD drive, and a wireless modem; that's 5 USB ports needed, compared to the one you're given. I'm sure you can buy USB hubs for the air, but that's just even MORE money you're going to have to spend.

Hope I helped! :D

The Best Digital Camera for Under 200 Dollars

Are you looking for the best digital camera under 200 dollars? Check out the Fujifilm FinePix S2550 digital camera. Fujifilm is well-known for their cameras and film products and they did a great job with the FinePix camera collection. This camera has 12.2 megapixels to deliver crisp and vibrant pictures to photographers. The optical zoom on this camera is phenomenal. At 18x wide-angle this camera zooms in capturing every detail throughout the focal range. This technology also features Instant Zoom which enables camera users to keep their subjects within the frame at a far distance and immediately crops the photo accordingly.

The large 3.0 high contrast LCD is great for viewing photos in detail. Electronic View Finder is a useful tool in shooting difficult shots. . Another great feature is face, smile, and blink detection. The smile detection automatically checks for smiles and will release the camera shutter once all subjects are smiling. Blink detection analyzes photos to check for subjects who have blinked or eyes that may have been closed when the picture was taken and notifies the picture taker to take another picture if desired. This camera also has red-eye reduction technology to minimize or eliminate the red-eye phenomenon. Once red-eye is detected by the camera and removed from the picture the camera automatically saves both versions of the picture. This camera also has the ability to capture quality video recordings in high-definition at 720p. Also included with this feature is a mini HDMI port that can be easily connected to an existing home theater system

The FinePix assists users with getting the best shots that they can with every single use. Face recognition will recognize up to ten people within a single picture frame. The Fujifilm FinePix S2550 digital camera embodies their powerful Picture Search tool. This tool gives consumers the ability to easily find photographs previously taken without having to go through all the photos just to find that photo you have been looking for. Dual Image Stabilization will prevent or minimize blurring in photos by steadying the frame and allowing for picture perfect photographs. Fujifilm utilizes great technology to make this happen by accessing a mechanically stabilized CCD sensor and a high level ISO of up to 6400.

There are many mode options to choose from with this camera from landscape and portrait to flower and sports mode.

If money is tight, you can always go for a digital camera under 100 dollars, but for digital cameras best buys can be found in a higher price bracket. The Fujifilm FinePix S2550 is a great buy, certainly considered a contender for the best digital camera under 200 dollars.
