What camera to get!! Canon Dslr's, xt, xti, xsi?

Well i have an opportunity to get a Canon xt for around $200.00-$250.00, xti for $600, or a xti for $700. All new. But cant really make up my mind on which one. Here is the situation. I live on my own and dont have alot of money but i want a camera that will suite my needs for a good amount of time until i really start to get into my career (possibly photography). Right now i am just an amateur trying to get through school, the xt would take me just a few weeks to get, the xti would take around a month and a half and the xsi would take two months or more. Right now im working with a 35mm rebel, and a Fuji film S700. Really want something more advanced for my photography classes next semester as the fuji camera is my only digital camera. (will be taking digital photography classes next semester). Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thank you for for your time

Ask the instructor if there are any requirements first. I go to the Art Institute, and here there are 2 requirements: it must be a DSLR and it must have atleast 10mp (we're required to print pretty big).

If your school has the same requirements, then get the XTi. If not, save your money and get the XT.
