How do you edit pictures..and get like ONE part color? Without buying software?

those pictures are what i mean.
picnik doesnt have that. they have one thats like an AREA in color..and the rest in black and white.
i dont want to buy software....
give me alink of something that i can download for free..i have tried getting the photoshop c2 or whatever but they dont work.

Oh yes, picnik DOES let you do that, and quite easily, too.
The correct term for it is "Selective Desaturation".
Here is how to do it on picnik.com:
Upload a photo
Click on the "Create" tab
Click on "Black and white"
In the "Effect Painting" box, choose "Original"
Choose a brush size, then simply paint the color back in where you want it.
If you make a mistake, change it to "Effect" and go over the mistake.
Save the picture.
P.S. perhaps next time instead of: "give me.....", you could try a "please" somewhere?
