photography help please?
ok so my school offers both photo I and digital media I. With photography, you develop your own film in all black and white using a non-digital camera. With digital media, you use a digital camera (not point and shoot though) and edit the pictures using photoshop etc. I feel like i would rather do digital media but if i were to seriously consider photography as a profession, which would you recommend? thank you! :)
If you think that you might consider photography as a career you will need to ask the question, what is the most likely format to be used in the future? It is undoubtedly digital. Film cameras will continue to be used in certain specialist roles but with the almost exponential increase in quality of digital cameras and processes there will come a time when film medium can do nothing than cannot be done digitally. This is similar to what happened with video. When digital video technology first came into being, there was no comparison to the quality available from a 'tube' camera now tube cameras are pretty much obsolete. Go digital.
Good luck JJ
