1 What is a good basic online digital photography class?
I'm looking for an online class I can take that will introduce me to the functions on my digital camera and help teach me to take better pictures.
If you got to this link http://olympusdigitalschool.com, Olympus cameras offers free lessons on digital photography. For free it is not too bad. Also, I really like Olympus digital cameras, I have two. I think they are the best.

1 Need a good DVD for teaching a senior digital photography class, please.?
For seniors with little experience with digital cameras. This would be the first thing shown to get them to see the overall picture of what the cameras can do and what they can do with editing.

My professor said any digital camera would work fine, but I would like to continue taking the next 2 digital photography classes after I finish this one, so I was thinking I should get a better camera right now while I have the money. My professor suggested in an email that if I wanted I could get a camera with "manual exposure, ISO and white balance" lol could anyone suggest what a good camera would be to buy?
You won't really know what you need until you learn a little more about photography. You certainly want 'manual' modes to set your own f stop, shutter speed, and focus. White balance can be adjusted in editing, but it's also a nice thing to have.
Digital cameras are like computers or any electronics, you don't buy one until you definitely need it, because if you wait a few weeks or months they will be better & cheaper. If it was me, I would just use what you have and buy a better one when you absolutely need it, like the class requires you to learn to set your own f-stop and shutter speed.
I like Canon and Nikon the best. Just about any camera these days has 10 megapixels or more, enough to make flawless 8x10 prints. You want a better-than-average lens, and then it's really all about features. Start reading now about new models that come out, and by the time this class is over you'll have a much better idea of what you want.
