Which book out of these two photography books should I pick?

I'm thinking of buying someone a photography book. They're interested in photography.

So, I've two options.

-The Digital Photography Book, Scott Kelby

-Digital Photography Book: Volume 2, Scott Kelby

They aren't exactly sequels... so I'm not sure.

Digital technology is always changing. I would go for the latest printing. which might be volume 2. But it depends on what information you are looking for.
