Is the quality of photos in digital photography depends on memory card quality?
Effect of memory card on digital photography
No. The type of memory card has no effect at all on photo quality.
The factors that determine photo quality for digital photography are (in no particular order):
1. Sensor qualilty. The quality and type of the image sensor that captures the light of the image being photographed are crucial to the quality of the recorded image. In general, the larger the sensor and the more pixels it has, the better the image, but there are many, many variables.
2. Lens quality. The image on the sensor is only as good as the lens that projects it there. Lens quality is just as important to image quality as the sensor. You need a good sensor AND a good lens to get the best image quality.
3. Software and electronics. Most digital cameras heavily manipulate the raw signals from the image sensor in order to produce a final image to be recorded on the memory card. The quality of the electronics and the quality of the software that manipulates the image make a big difference in the quality of the final image. Neither of these can compensate for a bad lens or a bad sensor, but both can mess up a good image if they are of poor quality.
4. Compression. The more an image is compressed, the lower its quality will be. This is mathematically inevitable. Most cameras let you select various levels of compression in order to compromise between quality and file size (the better the quality, the larger the image file will be), and many of the better cameras let you record images with no compression or special processing at all ("raw" mode), so that you can process them later in a program like Photoshop to extract as much quality as possible from the original. Raw images take up a tremendous amount of space on the memory card.
The only influence the memory card has is on the number of photos that you can fit on the card, and that depends on the card's capacity. Sometimes a very fast card is useful if you want to take photos in rapid succession.
