Would it be okay to take AP classes when I want to go to art school?

Hi, I need some help with my schedule for next year.

I am a sophomore in high school and I am planning my schedule for next year. I have to pick a "focus area" (basically a mini major with history, english, and a specific class themed for the focus area) for junior/senior year. I am in an honors focus area right now but I eventually want to go to art school.

I am debating on whether or not to take Art Core(english, history, the arts) or AP Core(english, history, forensics/debate). I am under a lot of pressure by my peers to take AP because I am in honors classes but I am wondering what would be best. I am also taking Digital Photography, Spanish, Advanced Bio, and Pre Calculus. Art seemed like a more fun core but I am under a lot of pressure for AP.

Which would be better? Would the art colleges care if I took AP classes instead of Art? I am really stuck here :|

do what you want. probably all colleges check to see if your smart but if you like art better then just take it my sister wants to be a doctor so she is in health and is in advance classes so just do what you want!
