PROFESSIONAL Concert Photography tips?
Hi, I'm going to take some pictures for a local band at their concert. I'm going to have a special place to take pictures, so I'm not looking for tips for using a crappy digital camera in the pit. I have a Canon SLR and needed to know what would be a good ISO, Aperture, and so on and so forth. It's going to be pretty dark with stage lights, but I'm trying to get the pictures as sharp as possible (no noise) and a high shutter so I can capture the fast movements. I see a lot of concert pictures in magazines and on websites that turn out sharp and still, and I wanted to know what settings could achive that.
p.s. I have two basic Canon lenses, two macro Canon ones (one goes up to 250mm the other 300mm). I have a better camera (it's actually my moms but I think she'll let me borrow it) which is a 7D and my own camera which is a Rebel T1i.
Thanks. :D
Your lenses are not fast enough. You need to use very high ISO to freeze the action. Shoot in RAW mode and correct the white balance and noises later.
