How can i view examples of textbooks?
I will be teaching a digital photography class next semester and am trying to choose a textbook. Is there any way for me to physically examine, read, and compare different books without buying them? (no adequate library available and the online resources i've found have not been sufficient)
Some publishing companies will offer an exam copy to an instructor who is contemplating which textbook to use for their class. Sometimes it is lables "Instructor copy" sometimes just "exam copy". Check out the publishing companies web site of several books you want to consider. Email or call to see what they can send you. Most of the time, you might have to pay for shipping to return the book you won;t be using. Or, the school/university might also need to send confirmation that you are, indeed, the instructor of the course.
