How do I take professional-looking product photographs of jewelry?

I would like to take pictures of my handmade jewelry and edit them to look like the pics on this site: http://www.nahoku.com/. I have a digital camera with manual controls. Can you please refer me to any how-to resources on product photography or tell me how to achieve the same look?
