Which software for photography / image designing would you recommend?
I'm going to make designs and master photograph so I was wondering if you could recommend the best software you know and why. e.g. aperture 3, adobe cs5 or something. If it's adobe, please specify what kind.
The Photoshop family is the best - whether Photoshop Elements, Photoshop Lightroom, or Photoshop CS5...
Photoshop Elements is essentially a "Lite" / hobbyist version of the full, regular Photoshop. It covers some basics but is scaled down and simpler.
Adobe Lightroom is another option. Lightroom and Photoshop (either regular or elements) do different things. There is some overlap in image editing functions, but the easiest way to describe it is Lightroom is a complete photo and data management solution. Photoshop is not.
So if you want the photographer workflow to manage thousands of images then you're talking about Lightroom, but you want to perfect a single image with the "gold standard" professional editing/finishing tool then you're talking about Photoshop. Both together constitute a complete image processing system.
You could always download and run free tryouts of any of these products to see for yourself which best suits your needs.
